Standards Update Information

ACHC has received approval from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for revisions to its Hospice Accreditation Standards. Changes incorporate recent CMS updates that add Marriage and Family Therapists or Mental Health Counselors to the hospice interdisciplinary team.

ACHC changes are effective March 1, 2024. Updated standards will be available to download that same date from the customer portal. Hospices must be compliant with changes on the effective date and maintain compliance throughout their accreditation period.
